Outstanding School Counselor Award
Amanda D. Leszczuk

Amanda Leszczuk is a licensed school counselor who is currently employed at Mariemont High School. She earned her undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University and began her education career at Colerain High School teaching math. She then earned a Master’s degree in school counseling and later a Master’s degree in school administration both at the University of Cincinnati. She has been a school counselor at Colerain High School, Lakota Ridge Junior High School, Mason High School, and an assistant principal at Lakota West High School.

She has been active with the Ohio School Counselor Association as a district director for the past four years for the four-county district in Southwest Ohio. Previously, she served on the board of the Greater Cincinnati Counseling Association. She is also on the advisory board for the University of Cincinnati’s counseling program. In addition, she has published 3 articles in counseling journals and enjoys making presentations at counseling conferences. Amanda has been an adjunct professor for Xavier University, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Dayton. Amanda was thrilled to present with the University of Cincinnati at Tsinghua University in Beijing China in 2001.

She also earned National Board Certification as a school counselor through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2008.

She loves her career in education, especially school counseling, and enjoys working with students daily to assist them with their academic, career, and personal concerns and needs they present.
