A former student of Dick Donnenwirth remarked, “Dick modeled for me the role of the counselor during my training at the Athenaeum of Ohio. He helped me to understand the significance of the counseling relationship to effect change. At the same time he demonstrated confidence in his work as a counselor, he also displayed a sense of humility….that the transformative power of counseling transcends the humanity of the persons in the counseling relationship. I am very grateful for Dick’s dedication to my training and development, and the education of future counselors.”
